QS Industries makes sound systems and other accessories for model railroads. With IC design help from KLIC, they are miniaturizing, improving reliability, adding features, and cutting cost. KLIC took the design as far as initial specification and schematics. QSI is continuing the design with designers at AMI, which offered to compete the design Real Cheap. Can't beat those prices :-).
